Lauren Littlefield - Director of Mental Health & Treasurer

Lauren serves as the Director of Mental Health and Treasurer for the Veterans Next Step Foundation, Inc., blending financial expertise with a robust background in mental health to uplift our local Veterans. With an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Curry College and a Master’s Degree from the Boston University School of Social Work, Lauren is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts. With previous hands-on experience at the VA in Brockton’s inpatient psychiatric unit, she brings deep insight into Veteran mental health challenges and suicide awareness. As the organization’s Treasurer, she ensures financial transparency, managing budgets to support Veterans’ needs, while as Director of Mental Health, she leads efforts to break stigma through innovative programs.

Driven by a strong desire to assist the Veteran community, Lauren runs her own private practice, Littlefield Wellness, in Halifax, where she provides compassionate care to a diverse population with a variety of needs. At Veterans Next Step, she collaborates with her extensive network of mental health professionals to offer workshops on mental health and suicide awareness, guiding Veterans to appropriate care. Starting in Halifax, she shares the foundation’s vision to expand across Massachusetts and the nation. Raised in West Plymouth, Lauren enjoys reading, gardening, and staying fit, and remains an active volunteer at the local elementary school, strengthening her community ties.
